Ladopouli Cave in Anogyra Village

Cave

On a curve in the road, among the rocks, one can discover her cave, which has a rather large entrance, very near to the edge of the street. Supposedly, Laopoulis of Lefkara travelled to Anogyra to sell oil. A family, the Kourtellis from Anogyra, had a conflict with Laopoulis, while other local Turks held a grudge against the aforementioned family and, wishing to damage and accuse her, decided to murder Laopoulis. They concealed him in the cave near the Apikreni Fountain after killing him. Initially, the Kurtellis (a family with whom the Turks held a grudge) were blamed for the crime, but when the truth was revealed, the Turks were arrested and sentenced to death.
